Horse Breeding Show in Sunja
(July 16-17 / 2005)

Includes: international exhibition of the indigenous breed the Croatian Posavac, parade of horse-drawn carts, municipal traditional arts review, entertainment and hospitality.
The municipality of Sunja is not within the limits of Lonjsko Polje Nature Park , but this event is very important for the Park, because most of the animals on show actually come from the area of Lonjsko Polje. This show has made an important contribution to the popularisation of the breeding of the Croatian Posavac, and its preservation, and to the future genetic improvements of this noble animal. For this reason the Public Institution Lonjsko Polje Nature Park every year provides a special price for the animal judged best in show.
